Before going through an academic credential evaluation for general purposes, it is of utmost importance to verify that the regulatory authority, or employer needs and will accept an assessment report issued by one of the six members of the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC).
It is highly recommended you get all supporting documents together and arrange for them to be sent while in the country in which they were issued. This will greatly ease the evaluation and recognition process. Once all documents have been received, the organization may require several months to complete the assessment, and you will be asked to pay associated fees.
Sometimes, the assessment process can start while you are still in your own country. Additionally, you may be able to use an on-line self-assessment platform to realize how your qualifications may be recognized.
